R v Richardson [1998] 2 Cr App R 200 Court of Appeal

A dentist carried out work on patients after being suspended from practice. The patients stated they would not have consented to the treatment had they known she had been suspended.

Held:

The patients had consented to the treatment. There was no fraud as to the identity of the person performing the treatment. The fraud related to the defendant’s right to practice Dentistry. She was not liable for ABH.
